I've noticed that some other newspapers will remove articles from their websites after a certain period of time has passed since they were published. I'm not sure why they do this.

I suppose one way I could verify the story would be by producing evidence that I exchanged emails with Kirk Forslund, who is mentioned in that article. I also interviewed him over the phone.

It would be nice if you could depend on web links always being active, but sometimes they change. I hope this information helps you though.

-MJ Schindler, aka Kitty Mowmow

Re: Gladstone, Kansas, keeps bull terriers on list of dangerous animals

"Hungarian researchers used a software system and neural network to map a variety of dog barks--initiating play, warning a stranger, threatening an opponent, and other signals. The system was able to correctly identify the situation in which each bark was uttered, with some variation in accuracy. Their findings suggest some interesting conclusions about individual dog personalities and a "universal language" understood across breeds and between packs, as well as interactions with humans."
