    Time.com just did a similar article about this. An animal group in Texas scheduled a "Black is Beautiful" promotion around the same time as Juneteenth, a prominent day in black Texas history. They meant no harm, but caused a ruckus! Check it out at www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1816859...

    And if you love black dogs, you'll love Pamela Townsend's book "Black is Beautiful: A Celebration of Dark Dogs". She's offering it through www.pgspca.org, and all proceeds benefit her local SPCA.
