    How can a bear with a jar over it's head be a threat to anyone? Shoot to kill? really? Shoot to tranquilize maybe? If we put a jar over Bush's head and let him wander into a forest in Minnesota do you think the same thing might possibly happen? He's more harmful than a poor bear.

    YOu know, that's such bs. That bear did not need to die. If they're so good at shooting the bear with a rile that will kill it,. you can't tell me they coudln't have hit it with a tranquilizer dart or several. I mean come on people!

    WTF, how much of a danger could it have been if it had a plastic jar on its head for 2days? Pretty apparent it wasn't coming off adn they could have tranquilized it.

    6 days it had that jar on it's head. 6 days they had been tracking it. Are they seriously saying that in 6 days no one thought to contact the MN Zoo and ask to borrow their tranq gun? How hard would it be REALLY to have had that bear tranqed by day 2 and that plastic jar cut off its head?

    Ridiculous, wasteful, arrogant and very very sad.

    Wait, I just thought of something - maybe they thought the bear was suffering, and they wanted to put it out of its misery? You never know, they might have thought they were doing something kind.

    Absolute disgrace!!!
    Don´t even get me started on the irresponsible idiot that threw the plastic container wherever he/she did. Litter cost that animal his life and nothing else - a lesson to be learned from that.
